Position Summary: This individual will provide IT Manufacturing Technology systems support, day-to-day management of system access and data protection, and daily support of business systems related to computerized lab / manufacturing instruments and systems. This role will also provide technical solutions to business challenges, coordinate implementations, support activities across manufacturing application systems and global application support groups. Take ownership of compliance issues related to computerized systems and implement effective resolutions. Navigate integration with manufacturing business and Information and Digital Solutions (IDS) teams to support business related projects.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the implementation of access control and role-based security protocols to maintain role clarity and system integrity across our manufacturing and lab systems.
Conduct user access audits, maintain audit trails, and perform role and access reviews to ensure compliance with security policies.
Define and manage outage windows, oversee system updates, and ensure optimal system performance through regular reviews.
Implement automated and manual backup strategies for manufacturing and lab systems to safeguard data and ensure continuity.
Regularly monitor application system backup operations and develop robust application recovery plans.
Establish a global disaster recovery protocol, with a focus on critical systems, and actively contribute to business continuity efforts of the manufacturing business
Stay up to date with emerging trends in technologies that support the integration of GMP systems.
Identify, recommend, and implement automated solutions to address laboratory or manufacturing operations.
Execute with precision, speed, and simplicity, ensuring compliance with Computer Systems Validation policies, standards, procedures, and practices.
Stay active and current in business technology trends, direction and innovation related to manufacturing business process and technology areas of focus.
Support and abide by applicable Lilly policies as indicated in the Lilly Red Book and other company policies and procedures. All corporate compliance training requirements must be met as required and defined.
Serve as a liaison between local and corporate systems groups, cross-functional or cross-site teams, as requested, interfacing with system owners, IDS, QC, QA, Manufacturing, vendors, and other relevant functional areas.
Basic Requirements:
BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline
3+ years of experience in IT or related experience.
Experience with administration of stand-alone and/or client/server systems.
Experience with data protection systems, software and processes.
Experience with understanding of GMP processes related to manufacturing and/or lab applications.
Must understand cybersecurity concepts and best practices related to data and operating system security.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders and articulate complex technical concepts.
Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
Adaptability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Additional Preferences:
Experience with Computer System Validation.
Working knowledge of regulations (GxP) related to system applications.
Experience with 21 CFR Part 11, Sarbanes Oxley, GxP, privacy data practices.
Ability to take initiative, be assertive, lead by example and build high-quality relationships.
Highly flexible, adapting to changes in priorities, requirements and processes is required.

Lilly currently anticipates that the base salary for this position could range from between $63,750 to $143,000 and will depend, in part, on the successful candidate's qualifications for the role, including education and experience. Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance). In addition, Lilly offers a comprehensive benefit program to eligible employees, including eligibility to participate in a company-sponsored 401(k); pension; vacation benefits; eligibility for medical, dental, vision and prescription drug benefits; flexible benefits (e.g., healthcare and/or dependent day care flexible spending accounts); life insurance and death benefits; certain time off and leave of absence benefits; and well-being benefits (e.g., employee assistance program, fitness benefits, and employee clubs and activities).Of course, the compensation described above is subject to change and could be higher or lower than the range described above.
