Job Description - Senior Associate (Client-Facing Consulting Role)
Positions in East Brunswick, NJ; Tysons Corner, VA (DMV); Philadelphia, PA, and Cleveland, OH.
Due to growth nationally and in the specific markets noted above, our Client is looking to add talented, ambitious CPAs, CAs, MBA professionals as Senior Associates and Associate Managers.
This role will provide you with the tools, training and hands-on experience required to catapult your Finance & Accounting career onto a new trajectory and would be a natural "next step" to accelerate your growth following a stint in Public Accounting (Assurance/External Audit) or in private industry.
This opportunity is perfect for current (or former) Audit Seniors in Public Accounting who are looking to broaden their skill sets and gain valuable experiences to help enhance their marketability or Big 4 alumni who've moved on to industry roles and are not challenged enough (not growing).
Required Qualifications, Skills & Professional Attributes:
- Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance
- At least 3 years as an External Auditor from large CPA firm (Big 4, Grant Thornton, BDO, RSM) AND at least one busy season as a Senior Auditor (strongly preferred).
- CPA/CA or demonstrated progression towards, strongly preferred.
- Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills including proficiency in US GAAP and Financial Accounting Services Board (FASB) rules and standards.
- Impressive intangible attributes including an entrepreneurial spirit, humility, a natural curiosity (lifelong learner); ability to easily connect with others and communicate effectively, and a resilient attitude and a growth mindset.
- Willingness and flexibility to do something very new and a desire to learn how to engage others in a powerful manner.
- Commitment to continually push yourself outside of your comfort zone.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.
Location:
Given the nature of it being a client-serving role, candidates must be able and willing to commute to client locations within their metropolitan area and be on-site (predominantly hybrid), according to their client's policy.
Travel Requirements
Travel outside of market of the employee's home market is not required. However, professionals who agree to such travel engagements are able to earn a special travel incentive.
Compensation:
Client has an entrepreneurial approach to rewarding its professionals on the front-line. Compensation includes a base salary ($95K to $125K range DOE) with innovative incentives that are achievable and approach conservatively 30-50% of base salary. First year-total compensation generally ranges between $130K to $165K (DOE), but can exceed that.
