Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to work cases from start to finish, independently.
- Strong research, writing skills, and academic record.
- Drafting and responding to initial pleadings and discovery.
- Drafting and arguing motions including dispositive and discovery motions,
- Taking and defending depositions including taking plaintiffs deposition and defending the deposition of corporate witnesses
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of relevant experience in employment counseling/litigation in State and Federal courts
- Proven ability to manage cases from inception through resolution.
- Experience in defending against single-plaintiff litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, and reasonable accommodation.
- Experience with PAGA matters and class actions.
- Admitted to practice in California, with a strong preference for candidates in good standing with the CA State Bar.
- JD acquired from top law school & BIGLAW experience is highly preferred
