Job Description: What You'll Do

Responsible for programming most features and test cases unattended, but lacks a complete overview of product development and operations. Handovers to other team members may limit productivity.

How You'll Do It
  • Completes most features and user stories including test cases and automation unattended.
  • Learns complex software engineering practices such as domain-driven design, test-driven development, operations, and security.
  • Contributes to agile ceremonies, leads demos and presentations, helps new engineers learn established norms, and participates in technology communities.
  • Participates in system design decisions and learns how these impact the product.
  • Learns to support production systems and understands how observed events and failures impact the product.
Qualifications You'll Need The Basics
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Informatics, Information Security, Information Technology, or related fields.
  • Experience in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related areas.
  • Internal applicants only: technical proficiency of Advanced Beginner on the Dreyfus Engineering scale.

Bonus Points If You Have
  • Experience building Java-based applications.
  • Experience with REST APIs.
  • Experience in a complex, scaled global tech organization.
  • Experience in Agile teams.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins preferred.
  • Experience with AWS/OCP.
  • Experience with performance testing.
