Job Title: Senior Asset Manager



Job Description:

The Senior Asset Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing a diverse portfolio of real estate assets, with a focus on maximizing value, managing risk, and achieving financial goals. This role involves strategic planning, financial analysis, market research, and close collaboration with various teams and stakeholders. The Senior Asset Manager also plays a key role in developing and implementing property strategies, managing capital expenditures, and ensuring compliance with regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of commercial real estate assets, ensuring the execution of business plans and financial strategies.
  • Monitor asset performance, including financial analysis, leasing activity, and capital improvement projects, to maximize asset value.
  • Analyze financial statements and supplemental reports to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimization.
  • Collaborate with property management teams to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations, tenant satisfaction, and adherence to lease agreements.
  • Coordinate with leasing teams to track market activity, negotiate lease terms, and identify prospective tenants to maintain high asset utilization.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for portfolio properties, ensuring alignment with financial objectives.
  • Develop and execute asset repositioning strategies, including property renovations and capital improvements, to enhance market competitiveness.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to assess feasibility and implement property enhancement initiatives.
  • Oversee capital improvement projects, including planning, budgeting, contractor selection, and project execution to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
  • Lead risk management initiatives, including insurance assessments, compliance checks, and emergency preparedness planning.
  • Support due diligence efforts for acquisitions including financial modeling, market research, and feasibility assessments.
  • Identify assets for disposition and lead sales efforts, direct brokerage and legal teams, oversee contract negotiation and compliance.
  • Work with legal, accounting, and finance teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and investment objectives.
  • Monitor industry trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes that may impact asset performance and investment decisions.
  • May supervise a team of Asset Managers or other staff

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience
  • 7-10 years of experience in asset management, real estate investment, property management, or a related field.
  • Skills
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop effective solutions
  • Knowledge of commercial real estate and capital markets, leasing structures, and property operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Excel, Argus, Yardi, MRI).
