This is a high-impact leadership role offering the opportunity to manage major projects from concept to completion while fostering strong relationships with clients and internal teams. Position Overview
As the Senior Architect Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading architectural design projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality construction documents across all project phases. This role requires technical expertise, strong leadership, and a deep understanding of client service and project execution. Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage project teams in the creation of construction documents through all phases: pre-design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
Ensure all project deliverables align with client expectations, contractual requirements, budget, and schedule.
Coordinate and assign responsibilities across internal staff, consultants, and vendors in a clear and professional manner.
Oversee architectural and engineering efforts to ensure cohesive and timely execution.
Foster and maintain strong client relationships; provide regular updates, resolve challenges, and ensure client satisfaction.
Lead the preparation of detailed construction documents, maintaining alignment with design intent and specifications.
Support senior leadership in quality control, client presentations, and strategic task delegation.
Conduct site visits, review construction progress, and manage construction administration activities as required.
Participate in business development and client retention initiatives.
Occasional travel may be required to support project demands. Qualifications
Licensed Architect in the state of Georgia (required).
Minimum of 5 years of professional architectural project management experience, ideally in sectors such as education (K-12 or higher ed), sports facilities, or other institutional environments.
Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit; working knowledge of SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or other visualization tools is a plus.
In-depth knowledge of applicable building codes and industry standards.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to lead complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
Excellent communication and client service skills.
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
