Volt is immediately hiring for a Senior Applications Engineer in Franklin, WI. You will work with engineering teams at North America's leading manufacturer and provider of the finest high precision machining centers with a focus on 5-axis machining centers.

Direct Hire, Salary $90 000

As a Sr. Applications Engineer you will:

  • Perform time studies, test cuts, and machine demonstrations
  • Program multi-axis applications utilizing CAM-systems
  • Review technical feasibility of RFQs and turnkey projects
  • Develop leading machining processes
  • Provide application support in-house and at customer site
  • Provide technical sales support at tradeshows and open house events
  • Provide customer production analysis and support as well as applications training
  • Travel to client sites to complete equipment trainings and programming exercises. Travel yearly to Germany for training. Travel to IMTS and other trade shows.


This is a Full Time, Direct Hire opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Profound knowledge in the field of 5-axis machining
  • BS Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 8-10 years' experience in machining, programming, and processing of complex parts
  • Control knowledge of Heidenhain / Siemens is preferred. Other controls programs are OK.
  • Experience in CAD/CAM software is a must
  • Good written and spoken English skills
  • Teamwork and high level of performance. The Sr. level will help train Jr level engineers. You will also regularly work with customers.
  • Ability to travel to train team at client sites, attend IMTS, and also to attend trainings in Germany once a year.


Travel Perk: Company credit card, Daily per diem when traveling.

Salary: $90 000
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
