Job Description

DNP CBD ZF CV Systems North America LLC has job openings (multiple) for the position of Senior Application Engineer - ADAS based out of its location in Auburn Hills, MI.

Job Duties: Analyze customer requirements and specifications against ZF specifications, identify mapping specifications and deviations; Provide proposal for ZF product matching customer requirements, resolve deviations in consultation with product group engineer and customer, accomplish acceptance of deviations; Create change request for non-acceptable deviations including breakdown of customer requirements; Product layout and configuration; Select, design, and calculate product layout for customer application; Consolidate and prepare product documentation (Drawings, schematics, plumbing/wiring diagrams, DMU's, specifications, bill of material etc.); Configure product according to customer needs (e.g., parameter setting); Check component installation and system environment in the vehicle; Review start-up systems in the vehicle, run through initialization procedure, and check system functions in the vehicle- adapting parameter settings where required; Homologate or support customer to homologate according to national and international regulations as appropriate; Carry out tests on special customer demand (e.g., system performance demonstration); Provide test reports and train and instruct customer on product features, end-of-line process and requirements etc; Communicate with customers regarding technical approval of applications; Create customer application documentation and release in Product Life Management system; Create lessons learned ; and Support training and mentoring application engineers on the ADAS team. A hybrid (in-office and telecommute) work schedule is available. Position requires up to 25% travel to domestic or international locations to support project validation and conduct customer visits.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or related field, plus 5 years of experience in Product Engineering with ADAS systems in the automotive industry, and demonstrated experience with: Vehicle (Pass, CMV) ADAS; ADAS components, including LRR, SRR, Cameras, and fusion; ADAS features, including AEB, ACC, TSR, LDW, and LKA; Vector Tools, including CANalyzer, CANape, and CANoe; Vehicle CAN communication structure; Vehicle Diagnostic Tools, including Vehicle CAN BUS, and Vector Tool; Project management using Windchill, Planisware, JIRA or similar; and SAE and ISO standards, including ISO 26262 and SAE J1939.
