Job Title: Senior Angular/Java Developer

Location: Woodlawn, MD (On-site, 5 days a week)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Angular/Java Developer to design and develop cutting-edge applications using modern frameworks and methodologies. The ideal candidate will play a key role in mentoring junior staff, collaborating with product design and engineering teams, and contributing to Agile ceremonies to ensure seamless project execution.

Responsibilities

- Design and develop complex applications using Angular, Java, and Spring Boot.

- Mentor junior developers, fostering their technical growth and expertise.

- Collaborate with product design and engineering teams to understand and address project requirements.

- Attend and actively participate in all Agile ceremonies.

- Develop database components using PostgreSQL or Oracle as required.

- Implement Microservices and REST APIs, leveraging modern development tools and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Educational Background:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field (Master's or Doctorate degree may substitute for required experience).

- Professional Experience:

- 10+ years of modern software development experience with proficiency in designing, building, deploying, and maintaining applications.

- 8+ years of experience working on Agile development teams.

- Technical Proficiency:

- Advanced knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Angular 9+, TypeScript, REST API, and Spring Framework.

- Strong understanding of Hibernate, JPA, JDBC, and OOPS Principles.

- Expertise in front-end technologies, including HTML, JavaScript, CSS, YUI, and/or jQuery.

- Experience with Twelve-Factor App Design Principles and API architecture styles.

- Proficiency in Agile tools such as VersionOne or JIRA.

- Familiarity with DevOps environments.

Desired Skills

- Experience with tools like Jenkins, Splunk, Git/BitBucket, Nexus, Maven, OpenShift, and Amazon Web Services (S3).

- Knowledge of BDD methodologies (e.g., Cucumber) and performance monitoring tools like VisualVM or Eclipse Profiler.

- Experience working in Linux environments.

Additional Requirements

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance (contract requirement).

- Strong commitment to working on-site in Woodlawn, MD, 5 days a week.
