Job Description

As the Senior Analyst - Business Intelligence, you will be responsible for providing regular and ad-hoc reporting and analytical support as it pertains to internal system data and external industry data. You will assist with driving business performance measurements and opportunity identification within the business unit utilizing SQL and Power BI. You will lead reporting projects for industry comparisons, competitor evaluation, market segment penetration, strategic business unit (SBU) sales results vs. current market state, and identification of new market segments. You will conduct data analysis of current systems and processes, identifying root causes, developing solutions, and directly supporting teams within the business.

Responsibilities:
  • Collect and analyze data pertaining to the SBU, including national and local market size, customer behavior, competitive advantages, and overall SBU business performance.
  • Execute regular and ad-hoc reports and presentations, to support the SBU leaders.
  • Build detailed presentations including data analysis reports, data charts and graphs, detailed evaluations of the SBU industry segments, and overall performance data of the SBU using Power BI tools.
  • Support the development and execution of implementation strategy for report conversion and ensure specific objectives and results are achieved.
  • Conduct research and data mining to support business decision making and help to identify new market segments and industry opportunities.
  • Identify key performance indicators and tracking methodology to ensure accountability and accuracy of data collection.
  • Analyze customer and company data to identify current trends and potential opportunities, and measure achievement towards goals.
  • Collect and maintain data pertaining to the SBU performance, customer behavior, market intelligence and competitive intelligence.
  • Provide executive level updates regarding key initiative components, results accomplishments, and current SBU performance.
  • Serve as a catalyst to promote process improvement and efficient thinking and foster a continuous improvement culture throughout the team.
  • Employ cross functional collaboration with other Wesco analysts.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred
  • 5+ years of data analytics experience
  • 3+ years of creating executive level reports
  • 3+ years of establishing KPI's and building processes to manage them
  • 3+ years of implementing process improvements and change management
  • 3+ years of experience in a large complex company with multiple ERP's
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel and Access
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Power BI, Power Apps. Power Automate
  • Advanced knowledge in creating executive level dashboards, reports, including graphs and charts
  • Strong detail orientation and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple concurrent projects and deliverables
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex data
  • Strong process and data mapping skills preferred
  • Experience with data validation on large datasets preferred
  • Experience in supply chain, distribution and/or logistics functions strongly preferred
  • Ability to travel 0% - 25%
