Senior AIX Administrator with Security Clearance

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior AIX Administrator to join a Federal Program located in Annapolis Junction, MD . The Senior AIX Administrator will support Homeland Security by overseeing system administration, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and ensuring the stability and security of our AIX environment. Responsibilities of the Senior AIX Administrator include: Administer and maintain the AIX-based server infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and patch management. Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Troubleshoot and resolve issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams as needed, while maintaining security measures to protect servers and infrastructure. Perform backups, restores, server upgrades, maintenance, and AIX performance tuning. Lead project teams with expertise in IBM AIX environments. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls, ensuring adherence to security policies. Qualifications for the Senior AIX Administrator include: 5+ years of relevant experience Must have prior RHEL experience Certified IBM AIX Certified System Administrator is a plus Must have an Active Secret Clearance Compensation for the Senior AIX Administrator includes: Salary Range: $80,000 - $85,000 depending on experience Enjoy job security with a fully funded program guaranteed for five years.
