Position: Senior AI Software Engineer Contract: 6 months, renewable Compensation: $65-90/hr OUR CLIENT Our client is a leader in the intersection of healthcare and AI, employing advanced technologies to enhance the precision and effectiveness of genetic testing. They are committed to fostering innovation and collaboration to improve patient outcomes through advanced AI and machine learning techniques.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Develop AI expertise within a team comprised of non-AI software engineers.
- Lead the creation of a multi-label document classification system.
- Design and implement systems for sticker detection and text extraction.
- Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) and vectorstores for comprehensive document analysis.
- Develop mechanisms for detecting anomalies in PDF documents.
- Conduct consistency checks on extracted data utilizing LLMs.
- Engage with an established tech stack including Java/SpringBoot, GitLab, Kafka, and Kubernetes to facilitate genetic test order processing.
- Enhance OCR technologies (Hyperscience, AWS Textract, and Rekognition) alongside LLMs to boost functionality and scalability.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE - Robust experience with OCR technologies, specifically AWS Textract and Rekognition.
- Expertise with Large Language Models (LLMs), notably with aplications using AWS Bedrock.
- Solid understanding of computer vision methods, particularly sticker detection and text extraction.
- Hands-on experience in supervised machine learning model development and deployment.
- Experience in producing production-grade applications using Python/Java, emphasizing reliable metrics.
- Prior involvement in the healthcare sector and awareness of HIPAA regulations is a plus.
