Role: Senior Agile Coach
Duration: 6 months (possible extension)
Location: It will be mostly remote, with maybe some on-site meetings in Century City, CA
Key Responsibilities
Agile Training & Enablement
Develop and implement Agile training models and learning paths for teams and leadership.
Facilitate Agile training sessions for Program Managers, Scrum Masters, Kanban Coaches, and teams.
Create and enhance training guides, playbooks, and best practice documentation.
Establish a coaching framework that supports Agile role development and team autonomy.
Drive stakeholder engagement by educating leadership on Agile principles and ways of working.
Hands-On Team Coaching & Agile Maturity Growth
Provide individual coaching for teams, helping them adopt Agile best practices.
Support and mentor Scrum Masters and Kanban Coaches in their roles.
Partner with Product Owners to improve backlog management, prioritization, and stakeholder engagement.
Conduct Agile health assessments and maturity evaluations, recommending improvements.
Facilitation of Agile Events & Organizational Agility
Lead and facilitate Scrum of Scrums and Product Owner Syncs to drive alignment and collaboration.
Support Quarterly Planning events and Agile Release Train (ART) ceremonies.
Guide teams through Agile adoption challenges and remove systemic organizational impediments.
Work with leadership to identify pain points and recommend solutions for optimizing delivery.
Agile Metrics, Jira & Confluence Expertise
Utilize Jira and Confluence to support Agile processes, creating and managing content for Agile teams.
Build custom dashboards, reports, and filters in Jira to track team and portfolio performance.
Define Agile maturity metrics, enabling data-driven decision-making.
Leverage Jira insights to support forecasting, capacity planning, and Agile OKRs.
Agile Frameworks & Continuous Improvement
Advocate for Lean-Agile principles, SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, and other Agile methodologies.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives helping teams establish feedback loops and innovation cycles.
Align Agile practices with business and technology objectives to optimize value delivery.
Partner with leadership to embed an Agile mindset into the organization's culture.
Act as a change agent, guiding teams through Agile transformation roadmaps.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, or a related field.
15+ years of experience in Agile Coaching, Agile Transformation, or Enterprise Agile adoption.
Extensive hands-on experience coaching teams, leaders, and Agile roles (Scrum Masters, Kanban Coaches, Product Owners, and Program Managers).
Strong expertise in Jira and Confluence, including dashboard and filter creation.
SAFe SPC, SAFe Program Consultant, ICP-ACC, or similar Agile certification preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
Deep knowledge of SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, Lean Portfolio Management (LPM), and Agile at scale.
Strong training development and facilitation skills, with the ability to tailor learning experiences to different audiences.
Proven ability to lead Agile ceremonies such as Scrum of Scrums and Product Owner Syncs.
Experience in coaching teams and leadership at various levels of Agile maturity.
Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.
