Senior Advanced Software Engineer- Cloud Scottsdale, AZ Contract Position $84.40-$89.40/Hour Senior Advanced Software Engineer job in Scottsdale, Arizona is available with Moseley Technical Services Top Space and Defense company. To qualify for this Hybrid/Flex job you will be a U.S. Citizen, with the ability to obtain Secret security clearance and 8+ years of experience preferably in the Space/Defense industry. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deploy cloud-based, mission-critical software solutions supporting defense and security operations. Develop and implement secure cloud-based applications using AWS, Kubernetes, and DevOps best practices. Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and containerized environments. Apply security best practices, including encryption, compliance, vulnerability management, and incident response. Develop, test, and optimize API integrations to ensure scalability and reliability. Utilize Python, Java, and scripting languages (YAML, JSON, Linux/UNIX) for cloud-based application development. Implement AI-driven solutions to enhance workload efficiency and automation. Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams in a Scaled Agile environment. Maintain documentation and knowledge-sharing for cloud infrastructure and software development. Qualifications: U.S. Citizen, with the ability to obtain Secret security clearance Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a STEM and 8+ years of experience, or Master's degree and 6+ years of experience Python / Java programming languages Understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, automation, configuration management, and infrastructure as code Familiar with Scaled Agile methodology Familiarity with security best practices, risk, compliance & vulnerability management, encryption & PKI, incident response, auditing and monitoring Proficiency in Python, Linux/UNIX, YAML, and JSON. Experience with AWS (AWS Solutions Architect strongly preferred) and its services (including fundamental AWS networking) Containerization using Docker and Kubernetes Strong understanding of API Design, testing, development and management Tools: CI/CD tools: Gitlab, Nexus Managed Artifacts, AWS: AWS EKS, EC2, Lambda, S3, EBS/EFS, VPC, DNS, IAM, KMS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail Configuration management: Ansible, Terragrunt, ArgoCD Build/Development: VS Code, Maven Event streaming platform (nice to have): Kafka messaging Container orchestration: Kubernetes, Docker, Security, Monitoring and logging: ACAS/Grype vulns scanning, SIEM (Splunk) Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) Version control: Git Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation Collaboration: Jira, Confluence Your Recruiter Still have questions?
