Job Opportunity: Senior Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) - Urgent Care Services Fife

This exciting role offers a unique opportunity for a Senior Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) within Urgent Care Services Fife (UCSF). The position is primarily clinical, with dedicated non-clinical time to support the development of the nursing team.

Role Responsibilities
  1. Apply high levels of decision-making within UCSF.
  2. Ensure patient health needs are met through autonomous diagnosis and management of patient conditions, including assessment, treatment, and review planning, in partnership with patients, carers, and families.
  3. Provide specialist advice and education to healthcare professionals, other agencies, carers, clients, and relatives.
  4. Collaborate across healthcare boundaries to develop the service, improve practice, and implement evidence-based standards, guidelines, and policies.
  5. Contribute to ensuring patients are seen in the right place, at the right time, by the right person, in line with the redesign of Urgent Care.
Candidate Requirements
  1. Registered General Nurse with substantial post-registration experience.
  2. Educated to or near completion of MSc level in an Advanced Nurse Practitioner Qualification and Non-Medical Prescriber qualification.
  3. Completed or willing to undertake the Urgent Care diploma.
  4. Experience supporting professional development, including teaching, clinical supervision, and research/audit application.
  5. Strong knowledge of current Acute and Urgent Care issues.
  6. Excellent leadership, team working, advanced clinical assessment, and decision-making skills.
  7. Flexibility to work various shift patterns, including evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  8. Willingness to travel across Fife to UCSF centres at Queen Margaret Hospital, Victoria Hospital, and St Andrews.
