Full time (37.5 hours) Permanent Working pattern Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm. Based at Jenner House, Langley Park, Chippenham, SN15 1GG, working for our Dietetics Service.

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Administrator to provide day-to-day operational & line management support to a team of administrators within our Central Booking Office Physio Team.

The post-holder will need proven line management experience, good written and verbal communication, strong IT skills, interpersonal and administrative skills, with the ability to work flexibly within a challenging environment. A proactive 'can-do' attitude and a commitment to high quality, recognizing the benefits of creativity and adaptability in a changing environment, are essential.

This role involves day-to-day operational troubleshooting and requires a solution-focused approach.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator to join the Dietetics Service Team, to help provide a positive and efficient administrative support service.

Main duties of the job
  • Monitoring workflow delivery, allocating and checking work to ensure an efficient admin service for clinicians and managers, with flexible task reallocation as priorities change.
  • Planning, coordinating, and managing workflow within the wider administration team in collaboration with senior administrators and the Administration Manager.
  • Contributing to rota planning and flexible working to ensure workflow management across sites.
  • Ensuring all public and professional enquiries are handled efficiently, politely, and confidentially, passing them to relevant staff.
  • Providing data to inform staffing plans, participating in recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding new staff.
  • Supporting the Administration Manager in service delivery and developing standardized processes across county-wide services.
  • Participating in team communications through meetings and other channels.

Essential qualifications and experience include:

  • Educated to A-Level or equivalent.
  • Excellent organizational, IT, and communication skills.
  • Significant administrative experience, preferably in health or social care.
  • Knowledge of office procedures, Microsoft Office, and data protection.
  • Experience with waiting list management and PAS systems like SystmOne.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize, problem-solve, and communicate effectively.
