The AWS Identity & Access team is tasked with creating the next generation of cloud computing security for offerings like S3, EC2, and CloudFront. Through innovative approaches, we are developing massively scalable distributed security systems that involve identity management, federation, web services security, single sign-on features, and more. We empower our customers to manage sensitive information securely over the Internet.

As a member of our team, you will do more than simply connect computers and track changes. Your role will be critical in deploying, operating, and scaling an always-on distributed system that forms the foundation of AWS services. We are looking for an experienced and motivated engineer to join our energetic, fast-paced, and passionate team.

Important Requirements: This position requires that candidates possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. Candidates must obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency as required for AWS work.

Utility Computing (UC):
AWS Utility Computing (UC) drives product innovation, from foundational services like Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released product innovations that distinguish AWS services in the industry. As part of the UC organization, you will support the development and management of services in Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, Platform, and Productivity Apps, including specialized security solutions for our cloud offerings.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP certifications, or an Associate's degree
  • 5+ years of Linux systems administration experience
  • 5+ years of technical troubleshooting and support experience
  • 5+ years of networking experience (TCP/IP)
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • CompTIA Security+ certification
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field in lieu of relevant work experience

The base pay for this position ranges from $139,500/year in our lowest geographic market to $210,000/year in our highest geographic market, reflecting compensation based on various factors including location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
