Senior Accounts Payable Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with an international company located in Central Phoenix. This organization is in search of a senior accounts payable specialist to join their accounting team. This role is Monday-Friday, and will require the first few months of training to be fully onsite. After you are trained, there will be hybrid flexibility. To be considered for this role, you must have your Bachelor Degree in accounting, finance or related field, as well as international AP experience.

In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and policy-compliant processing of payments across multiple countries.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the full cycle of accounts payable, including invoice entry, expense reimbursements, and payment requests, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
  • Handle international transactions, including multi-currency payments and region-specific compliance.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for vendors, resolving discrepancies, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring consistent communication and support.
  • Prepare and process regular payment runs while ensuring alignment with company policies, payment terms, and global financial regulations.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of accounts payable records and vendor accounts, delivering accurate reports to assist with financial planning and audits.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the accounts payable process. Recommend and help implement improvements to streamline operations.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards. Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including finance, procurement, and operations to resolve issues and improve workflows.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree required in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • At least 2 years of international AP experience, with 5 years experience total
  • Advanced Excel knowledge(Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics systems
  • Experience with international tax requirements
  • Experience with financial reporting and month-end close processes

Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
