Bay Area based consumer products company seeks a Senior Accounting Manager to manage the corporate accounting function including over general ledger and monthly close, including inventory and lease accounting, etc. The ideal candidate will come with hands on financial close and staff management/development experience, as well as prior public accounting experience and exposure to larger sized companies with technical accounting experience. This role will report into the Controller and manage a small team. This role will also be involved with special projects to streamline and automate the accounting processes. This role will be working onsite 3 days per week.
Requirements:
- 8+ years overall experience in the manufacturing/consumer products industry with staff management as well as prior Big 4 Audit/public accounting experience.
- CPA is required.
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or related field of study.
- Technical accounting experience including inventory and lease accounting experience.
- Staff management and development experience.
- Advanced Excel skills required (Pivot Tables, V & X Lookups, Sum Ifs, etc.)
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
