Our company is looking for an experienced and motivated Permanent Senior Accounting Manager to join our dynamic Accounting and Finance team. This role is crucial to our organization as it involves overseeing all financial activities, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and driving financial strategies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations, preparing financial reports, and implementing accounting systems and processes. This position also requires high-level analytical skills, exceptional leadership abilities, and a keen attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all financial operations and direct corporate financial planning and structure.
2. Coordinate, analyze and report the financial performance to Management and Board of Directors (financial performance, projections and other special projects as required).
3. Prepare short and long-term financial forecasts of financial performance for use with internal management and external parties.
4. Oversee audit and tax functions, coordinate activities with outside audit firms and review firms performance.
5. Develop, implement and maintain accounting and administrative policies and procedures for a wide-ranging set of activities including financial accounting and reporting, employee relations (hiring/terminating policies) and other corporate policies.
6. Proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent GAAP, SEC rules and regulations including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
7. Responsible for all corporate and human resource activities including employee benefits, retirement plans, corporate insurance and related activities. This includes the coordination of these activities with all satellite offices as well.
8. You must have experience in partnering with an executive team, and have a high level of written and oral communication skills.
9. Supervise the preparation of the corporate annual report.
10. Review and maintain Lease Accelerator and lease accounting reconciliations.
11. Ensure monthly closing is done in a timely and accurate manner.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is mandatory.
3. Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in the financial reporting/general ledger area. Experience working in a law firm or professional services firm is preferred.
4. Must be PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast -pace setting. Experience with Elite Enterprise, J.D. Edwards or other large automated accounting system a plus. Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Access and Word.
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills required.
6. Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
7. Proficiency in Tableau or similar data visualization tools.
8. A proven track record in driving successful projects and proficiency in managing the financial aspects of a department including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to think out-of-the-box while defining sound and practical solutions.
10. Demonstrated experience in leading and developing an accounting team.
