Job Purpose:

To maintain the financial status of the organization by monitoring revenue and expenses, verifying and reporting financial information; manage the department in an efficient and effective manner that allows growth. Efficiently execute accounting principles that are consistent with industry's best practices and standards. The Senior Accounting Manager supports the Controller by preparing financial reports and completing month end close accurately and on time.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
  • Manage employees performing accounting, billing, collections, payments, and reconciliation functions
  • Manage sales order by creating and recording transactions for special orders until completion of the orders.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end processes, including reviewing and approving adjustments made to the general ledger
  • Process capital asset reconciliations, fixed asset activity and depreciation
  • Support company annual audits (Internal and External)
  • Support corporate Controller with annual corporate financial statements
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports/statements
  • Manage the quarterly intercompany submission process to the headquarter office
  • Oversee the monthly close and reconciliation process
  • Monitor cash flow for multiple bank accounts and forecast for company needs
  • Ensure timely payment processing to vendors
  • Supervise the monthly sales and use tax filings
  • Assist with the annual tax return
  • Oversee and remediate tax Issues (Local, Federal and International)
  • Review and produce payroll reconciliation and reporting
  • Provide assistance with annual budget preparation
  • Comply with Federal, State and Local tax requirements
  • Protects assets by establishing, monitoring and enforcing internal controls
  • Manage the corporate insurance policies and claims
  • Provide financial support to internal departments
  • Support budget and forecast process by collecting, analyzing and consolidating financial data
  • Manage the company credit card program, including ensuring compliance with the credit card policy
  • Review and approve employee expense reports
  • Develop & mentor and staff
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree - Accounting or Finance is required
  • Certified Professional Accountant, (CPA) preferred
  • 3+ Years' Supervisory experience in accounting or finance
  • Must be Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Advanced Excel skills preferred

Requirements:

  • Strong Interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to m-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in a cross-cultural environment
  • Experience with multi-jurisdictional sales and use tax in the manufacturing industry is preferred
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP system is preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
