Senior Accounting Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical accounting guidance for complex transactions including revenue recognition, financial instruments, consolidations, business combinations, and other areas relevant to the broker-dealer industry.
• Draft, implement, and maintain corporate accounting policies in alignment with U.S. GAAP and industry regulations.
• Partner with internal stakeholders (finance, legal, compliance, operations, and business leaders) to assess and document the accounting implications of new products, services, or strategic initiatives.
• Monitor, assess, and lead the adoption of new accounting pronouncements and regulatory changes.
• Prepare technical accounting memos and support documentation for internal and external audit purposes.
• Serve as a subject matter expert during audits and regulatory reviews.
• Deliver technical accounting training to internal finance and business teams as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA required.
• Minimum of 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years focused on technical accounting or accounting policy.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.
• Prior experience in the broker-dealer or financial services industry is strongly preferred.
• Public accounting experience (Big 4 or national firm) is a plus.
• Proven ability to interpret complex accounting standards and apply them to business scenarios.
