We are currently seeking a Senior Accounting Consultant to join our team supporting the U.S. Army in Arlington, or Tysons, VA What you'll do: Provide overall Federal financial management. Responsibilities: Perform monthly bank reconciliations, to ensure accuracy and compliance with account standards and US treasury reporting requirements
Review and document assigned variances to ascertain accounting events
Compare reconciling items reported in accounting records to those reported to the US treasury
Tick mark reconciling items and document actions taken to resolve discrepancies
Travel domestically and internationally, provide in-person support at MBC and client sites, and obtain and maintain professional certifications and security clearances as required by MBC and/or MBC's clients. These requirements are subject to change without advance notice at the discretion of MBC and MBC's clients
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from a school accredited in the United States
Active Secret Security clearance
2-3 years accounting experience with a focus on internal controls
Strong analytical, organizational skills
MUST possess one of the following: CPA, CGFM, CDFM, CISA, CIA, PMP or ITIL
Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask
Strong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
Ability to travel domestically and internationally using a credit card or prepaid debit card as required by MBC and/or client
