Responsibilities of the Senior Accounting Analyst:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Support the SEC reporting process, including preparing 10-Q and 10-K filings
- Perform detailed financial analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement
- Ensure compliance with SOX controls and other regulatory requirements
- Work closely with external auditors and internal teams to facilitate the audit process
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly earnings calls and investor presentations
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries
- Review and analyze financial data to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
- Participate in internal control assessments and process improvement initiatives
- Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requests from senior management
Preferred Qualifications of the Senior Accounting Analyst:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3+ years of accounting experience, with exposure to SEC reporting and public company accounting
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and SEC regulations
- Experience with financial reporting tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, VLOOKUP)
- CPA or working toward CPA designation is preferred
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under tight deadlines
Salary and Benefits:
- Location: Cleveland, Ohio
- Pay range: $85,000 to $105,000 (based on experience)
