Responsibilities of the Senior Accounting Analyst:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Support the SEC reporting process, including preparing 10-Q and 10-K filings
  • Perform detailed financial analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement
  • Ensure compliance with SOX controls and other regulatory requirements
  • Work closely with external auditors and internal teams to facilitate the audit process
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly earnings calls and investor presentations
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries
  • Review and analyze financial data to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
  • Participate in internal control assessments and process improvement initiatives
  • Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requests from senior management


Preferred Qualifications of the Senior Accounting Analyst:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, with exposure to SEC reporting and public company accounting
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and SEC regulations
  • Experience with financial reporting tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday)
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, VLOOKUP)
  • CPA or working toward CPA designation is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under tight deadlines


Salary and Benefits:

  • Location: Cleveland, Ohio
  • Pay range: $85,000 to $105,000 (based on experience)
