Position Summary:
Seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join its finance team. This role will be responsible for full-cycle accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and support for internal financial decision-making. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong accounting expertise, preferably with experience in the financial services or investment management industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute all aspects of full-cycle accounting, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconcile investment accounts and track capital activity across various investment vehicles.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper accounting for client transactions and investment activities.
- Support external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in the preparation of tax documents and coordinate with external tax advisors.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting support to management for strategic decision-making.
- Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives within the finance function.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong understanding of full-cycle accounting.
- Experience in the investment management or financial services industry is highly desirable.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar platforms is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a team-oriented mindset.
Our client offers:
$110,000 to $120,000 base salary range dependent on experience. Discretionary bonus.
