Job Summary:

Flexton is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with strong leadership skills to manage, hands on approach, and oversee all accounting operations. This position requires a hands-on approach with responsibilities including bookkeeping, payroll management, account reconciliation, financial reporting, budgeting, tax filing, audit support, and mentoring a team of accountants. The ideal candidate will be an expert in AP, AR, and cashflow management, with extensive experience in financial forecasting, taxation, and audit procedures.


On-Site Requirement: At least 3 days per week in office

Work Hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (San Jose, CA)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounting & Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate accounting transactions, ensuring timely and accurate recording of all financial activities.
  • Payroll & Benefits Administration: Oversee payroll processing, including salary, bonuses, deductions, leaves, and benefits for employees.
  • Employee, Client, and Vendor Management: Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including payroll, benefits, and tax documentation for employees, clients, and vendors.
  • Account Reconciliation: Perform regular account reconciliations for significant accounts such as bank, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounts.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Develop and deliver timely financial reports to management and stakeholders, ensuring clarity and accuracy in presenting financial data.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare and manage annual budgets, financial forecasts, and financial planning reports. Perform cost analysis and control company expenses to stay within budget.
  • Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation for audits and respond promptly to audit inquiries to ensure smooth audit processes.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure adherence to tax filing deadlines and ensure compliance with relevant tax laws, including export-import taxes, GST, and other global tax regulations.
  • Supervision & Mentoring: Supervise and mentor a team of accountants, fostering a culture of accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices in financial management and accounting procedures.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, clients, vendors, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
  • Ad-Hoc Financial Support: Provide financial or accounting support as needed for various projects and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 15 years of accounting experience, specifically in the USA within a Tech, IT staffing, or services company.
  • Proven expertise in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Cashflow Management.
  • Strong understanding of global taxation, including export-import taxes, GST, and other tax laws
  • Strong audit experience with a thorough understanding of auditing processes and regulations
  • Experience in project costing, financial planning, and budgeting.
  • Experience in working with accredited accounting frameworks and models.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage a team and collaborate with other departments. Demonstrated ability to manage, lead, and mentor an accounting team.

Certifications: Finance or Accounting degree, certification, or license.


Software Proficiency: Extensive experience using QuickBooks for day-to-day accounting operations. Also experienced in ADP Payroll, and Microsoft Office (especially Advanced Excel).
