We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work in the dynamic commercial real estate industry, supporting a small, collaborative team in San Francisco. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and record journal entries to ensure timely month-end close using QuickBooks.
- Record cash and expense transactions with accurate categorization.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local tax laws, completing all business filings.
- Provide advice on estimated tax payments throughout the year.
- Collaborate with departments on accruals, vendor management, and contracts.
- Perform monthly financial analysis, including balance sheet, income statement, and budget variance reviews.
- Conduct account analysis and bank reconciliations.
- Assist external auditors during interim and year-end audits.
- Develop financial planning and budgeting models; prepare annual budgets for management review.
- Analyze financial reports to identify key issues and opportunities for growth.
- Track fixed assets and prepare depreciation schedules.
- Research accounting issues for GAAP compliance.
- Create financial forecasts to support management decision-making.
- Provide insights on cash flow patterns and business financing while working closely with the Finance Manager and CFO.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent certification).
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience; property management experience is preferred but not required.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and QuickBooks Online.
