We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Real Estate industry. This is a permanent position, offering the opportunity to work with a seasoned team of professionals, and contribute to the financial success of our rapidly growing company. The Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating the accounting functions related to our real estate portfolio, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.

The ideal Senior Accountant has experience within real estate or property management, as well as experience utilizing Yardi. The perfect candidate is someone who has the desire to learn, grow and loves process improvement and can give insight into making operations stronger as the company continues to expand. This is a hybrid role and working in the office at least 2 days/week.

Job Details

Responsibilities:
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a broad range of accounting functions, including but not limited to:

1. Overseeing and managing the general ledger and the preparation of journal entries.
2. Performing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and reporting.
3. Reviewing and analyzing financial statements and reports.
4. Ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions in Yardi.
5. Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
6. Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
7. Performing variance analysis and preparing account reconciliations.
8. Conducting regular ledger maintenance.
9. Assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable.
10. Collaborating with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
11. Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree or CPA certification is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in the Real Estate Mortgage industry.
3. Proficiency in Yardi or a similar real estate accounting software.
4. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Strong understanding of financial and accounting processes.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
9. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
10. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
11. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel.
