Salary: $85k - $100k + Options



POSITION SNAPSHOT

Seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team at a publicly traded medical device company. This individual will play a critical role in managing and executing key financial processes including international consolidations, equity accounting, financial reporting, cash management, and preparation of board-level reports. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of US GAAP, experience working in a public company environment, and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, regulated industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Manage international consolidations of multiple subsidiaries in accordance with US GAAP and company policies.
  • Perform equity accounting for stock-based compensation, ESPP, and other equity transactions; maintain cap tables in coordination with legal and external partners.
  • Prepare and analyze the balance sheet, income statement, P&L, and cash flow statements for internal and external reporting.
  • Support the preparation of 10-Q, 10-K, and other SEC filings as needed in collaboration with external auditors and the financial reporting team.
  • Conduct thorough account reconciliations and variance analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Assist with cash management activities including bank reconciliations, forecasting, and liquidity reporting.
  • Prepare board presentation materials summarizing financial performance, strategic initiatives, and operational KPIs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, Tax, and Operations to support business initiatives and financial compliance.
  • Assist with implementation and enhancement of financial systems and controls.
  • Participate in audits and ensure compliance with SOX and other regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
  • 2+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a public company.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting, and consolidation principles.
  • Hands-on experience with equity accounting and stock compensation tools
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Great Plains experience HUGE plus
