We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. This critical role is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional to apply their skills and knowledge of GAAP, Excel pivot tables, and Vlookups in a fast-paced and challenging environment. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial analysis, financial reporting, month-end close, cost accounting, general ledger, and accounting. With at least 5+ years of experience, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and propriety of all financial data and reports.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, and trust account statement reconciliations.
2. Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
3. Prepare and analyze financial reports on a monthly basis, providing accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision-making purposes.
4. Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
5. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
6. Coordinate and complete annual audits.
7. Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
8. Maintain the chart of accounts.
9. Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
10. Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
11. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in the accounting and finance sector.
4. Proven expertise in GAAP, Excel pivot tables, and Vlookups.
5. Demonstrated proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial analysis, financial reporting, month-end close, cost accounting, general ledger, and accounting.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
9. High attention to detail and accuracy.
10. Ability to direct and supervise.
11. Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
12. Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.
