LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a well-established manufacturing company in the western suburbs that is looking to bring on a Senior Accountant on a direct hire basis to grow within the accounting department. The company is 100% onsite and the person taking on these duties would be responsible for the following duties:
Job Description:
- Complete monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliations and prepare monthly & quarterly journal entries.
- Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees
- Assist with inventory accounting and take on some variance analysis associated with cost accounting
- Supervise Accounting Clerk
- Ensure accounts payable get processed on a weekly basis
- Reconcile and post cash
- Assist with special projects on an as needed basis
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in accounting or finance is required
- 4+ years of month end close experience is required
- CPA or MBA is a plus or working towards a CPA is desired
- Prior experience handling month end close at a manufacturing company is desired
- Prior supervisory experience is a plus
- Intermediate excel skills are required
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills are a must
