Position Overview:
Reporting to the CFO, the Controller will be responsible for managing all accounting functions, financial reporting, and compliance for our fast-paced staffing firm. This role requires a strong understanding of payroll, billing, and cash flow management. The ideal candidate is a hands-on financial leader who can optimize processes, support business strategy, and ensure financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the company's financial operations, including accounting, payroll, billing, and collections.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Manage cash flow and ensure timely payments to contractors and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and industry-specific financial requirements.
- Implement and improve internal controls, financial policies, and operational efficiencies.
- Partner with leadership to provide financial insights and drive strategic decision-making.
- Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of accuracy and efficiency.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax professionals, and banking partners.
- Leverage technology and automation to streamline financial processes.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency with Dynamics 365 Business Central Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 5+ years of accounting/finance experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in the staffing industry or in a related field is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processing, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
