Senior Accountant at Growing Company

This is a full-time position working in an office environment located in Oklahoma City. The standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM, totaling 40.0 hours per week. Occasionally, the role may require responding to organizational needs outside of normal working hours.

A Day in the Life

The Senior Accountant will be a key member of the accounting/finance team and will work to ensure accurate and timely financial records for the organization. The ideal candidate possesses leadership capabilities and will work with the CFO and CEO to not only quantify but drive results. Must be able and willing to perform a wide range of task.


  • Manage and oversee the month-end closing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reports.
  • Ensure that payables are paid and receivables are collected according to payment terms.
  • Prepare and post journal entries and other transactions while ensuring the proper accounting treatment of those transactions.
  • Perform account reconciliations to resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist and participate in the year-end closing process.
  • Assist with budget and forecast processes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned by the CFO or CEO.

To Qualify for this Position, you must have

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
  • 4-7 years of experience in accounting.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and practice discretion.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
  • Ability to take initiative and to work independently without supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks, Excel and other accounting software.

Preferred Skills

  • CPA designation or progress towards CPA certification.
  • Experience with payroll processing and tax report filing.
