Senior Accountant
About the Firm:

- They work with private industries in various areas but focusing on the transportation industry
- The organization is a large size company and they have several locations nationwide
- They are looking to add a Senior Accountant to their growing team. This role will be reporting into the Corporate Controller and with exposure to the Chief Accounting Officer
- This position is located in Midtown Manhattan on a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant will include:
- The Senior Accountant will work on analyzing financial information and preparing financial reports by compiling information, preparing profit and loss statements, and utilizing appropriate accounting control procedures.
- Also responsible for taking the lead in coordinating various departments to establish the necessary reporting parameters, including financial reporting formats, timing requirements, accounting basis, and banking.
- This position has responsibility for posting journal entries and maintaining the general ledger accounts and reports in accordance with GAAP and including supporting backup.
- Additional adhoc responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications of the Senior Accountant:
- Bachelor's in Accounting and a CPA
- 3+ years of accounting experience
