Senior Accountant (40969)
Our client is an organization in the greater Milwaukee area looking for a Senior Accountant. This company is looking for someone with 2+ years of accounting experience, costing experience, and collaborative. This company offers an awesome team culture and summer hours.
The salary range for this position is $80k-90k + bonus.
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and oversee financial operations related to projects.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Monitor and analyze project budgets, costs and profitability.
- Conduct variance analysis.
- Manage general ledger entries and ensure accurate month-end and year-end closings.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and assist with internal and external audits.
- Participate in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff.
- Perform other accounting and finance-related tasks assigned to support departmental goals.
The Senior Accountant will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or closely related field
- 2+ years of related accounting experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
