We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your accounting skills in a challenging and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for various accounting and financial tasks, including audit, inventory, tax filings, financial accounting, financial statements, financial analysis, ledger, intercompany transactions, and working with Oracle software.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including month- and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
• Coordinate and complete annual audits.
• Provide recommendations for improving systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
• Meet financial accounting objectives.
• Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, or other tax requirements.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
• Collaborate with the financial management team on budgeting and financial planning.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Strong working knowledge of audit, inventory, tax filings, financial accounting, financial statements, financial analysis, ledger, Oracle, and intercompany transactions.
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
• Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information.
• Strong computer skills, MS Excel in particular (managing spreadsheets, creating charts, and using advanced formulas).
• Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws, and regulations.
• Excellent strategic planning skills and able to interact with all levels.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment, providing back-up support to team members when necessary.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
