Job Summary:

This is an opportunity to be an integral part of the Accounting Team at Lipman Family Farms, a rapidly growing, nationwide fresh produce company. We are seeking a Senior Accountant with strong financial acumen, leadership abilities, and advanced data analysis skills to join our team in the fresh produce industry. This role involves overseeing financial reporting, ensuring the integrity of accounting data, optimizing financial reporting systems, and enhancing data organization within the company's data warehouse .

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Data Analytics
Prepare, consolidate, and analyze financial statements and reports .
Utilize Power BI (preferred) or other BI tools to develop data visualizations and insights.
Optimize data organization and financial data integrity within the company's data warehouse .
Provide financial insights and analysis to support business decision-making.
Accounting Operations & Systems Integration
Lead integration of financial reporting systems and ERP maintenance.
Prepare and post month-end journal entries , ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Review journal entries and account reconciliations with analysis and explanations.
Maintain and enhance the general ledger chart of accounts and reporting structures.
Leadership & Collaboration
Lead, mentor, and provide guidance to 1-2 staff accountants .
Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to address financial inquiries.
Support process improvements and automation initiatives.
Assist in year-end external financial statement audits .
Review and research intercompany transactions for proper elimination.
Work on ad hoc financial projects as needed.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
5+ years of accounting experience with proven success in a similar role.
Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Experience with financial data analytics, business intelligence (BI) tools, and ERP systems .
Power BI experience a plus .
Familiarity with data warehouse structures and data organization best practices .
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros, etc.) .
Excellent written and verbal communication skills .
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in the agriculture or manufacturing industry is a plus.
Knowledge of IBM Cognos TM1 or SQL-based reporting tools is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
