Boxwheel Trailer Leasing, LLC ("Boxwheel" or the "Company") is currently seeking a Sr. Accountant to join its accounting team. Boxwheel is a semi-trailer leasing and rental business founded by two industry veterans in partnership with its private equity sponsor. Job Qualifications:

The Sr. Accountant candidate should be a professional with 3+ years of experience in accounting. A mix of public and private accounting experience is preferred. The candidate should demonstrate excellent finance and accounting capabilities, including preparation of consolidated financial statements and understanding of GAAP, to contribute towards Boxwheel's rapid growth. A Bachelor's degree in accounting is required. Strong written and verbal communication skills and expertise in the MS Office suite (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and accounting systems expertise are a must.


Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing activities

Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice review and vendor management

Maintain and track fixed assets and depreciation schedules

Assist with financial reporting and analysis

Support the annual audit process by preparing required schedules and responding to auditor inquiries

Help optimize accounting workflows and identify process improvement opportunities

Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to ensure financial accuracy and consistency

Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial data

Maintain accounting policies and procedures documentation

Prepare monthly sales tax returns for multiple states

Prepare monthly commission schedules for sales employees

Purchase card monitoring
