I'm working with a CFO I've known and respected for years-he started his career in public accounting and has since risen to CFO. He is now leading a newly formed company that resulted from a recent corporate split.
He is looking for a true partner in building out the processes, systems, and structure of this new entity. It's a hands-on role now, but the path leading towards managing a broader team in 12-18 months.
The role is going to have both accounting and finance aspects to it and will be compensated well.
WHO: Private equity owned, $100M distribution business. This company was newly created after the prior company was split into separate entities.
WHAT: Senior Accountant - This role is newly created and will be helping to establish and build out accounting processes and systems for the newly created entity. The person needs to be comfortable immersing themselves into the details of the month-end close but also can step back to design proper processes and mentor staff along the way.
- Lead and execute month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Help implement and strengthen internal controls and financial processes
- Assist in the upgrade and implementation of their ERP system
- Partner with leadership on process improvements and system efficiencies
- Mentor and develop junior accounting staff with a pathway to management within 12-18 months
- Support M&A integration and future scalability of accounting operations
HOW MUCH: $100-$120K
EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance;
- 2-5 years of experience,
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
- Experience with NetSuite or ERP systems a plus
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
