What You'll Do:
As a Senior Accountant, you'll:
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, statements, and records. Ensure accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and IFRS, while gaining exposure to complex financial scenarios.
- Contribute to the month-end and year-end closing processes including reconciliation of Key Accounts, playing a crucial role in the financial health of the organization.
- Ensure compliance with revenue recognition standards in a complex contractual context including those required under ASC 606 and Net revenue recognition.
- Monitor and reconcile accounts, including accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Suggest and implement improvements to financial controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
- Utilize NetSuite for accounting and financial tasks.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Collaborate with other departments, business units, and divisions to provide financial insights and support.
- Assist with tax filings and regulatory reporting.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff.
What We're Looking For:
We're seeking candidates with:
- CPA certification is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 - 7 years of accounting experience, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
- Proficiency in NetSuite is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition standards, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with international accounting practices and regulations.
- Expertise in financial consolidations and reporting.
- Advanced skills in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A).
- Background in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, clinical trial, or pharma distribution industry would be helpful.
- Background in VAT reporting preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred:
- Experience in accounting for inventory in life sciences, food and drug, or manufacturing environments is highly valued.
- Process improvement and project management.
- Documentation of Internal Controls in the execution of routine accounting cycles.
- Experience with Consolidations and business combinations.
