Creative Financial Staffing has partnered with the local chapter of a national organization to identify a Senior Accountant to join their team. This is a newly created position.

The Senior Accountant's responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for assisting in the month-end and year-end close including journal entries, prepaid, accruals, fixed assets, revenue recognition, and accounting consolidation
- Ensure Balance Sheet accounts are reconciled on a recurring basis as required.
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly Financial Statements.
- Perform monthly budget-to-actual expense and other revenue analysis.
- Manage the annual external Financial Statement and benefit plan audits,
- Oversee quarterly and annual Federal & State tax filings.
- Develop and implement business process improvement initiatives and strategies.
- review accounting policies and procedures to ensure that the company is compliant with GAAP and statutory accounting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 3+ years of professional accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting concepts
