SUMMARY OF POSITION
We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing accounting procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations, and preparing financial reports. This role requires a detailed-oriented individual with proven experience in financial analysis, fiscal management, and treasury operations to support our continued growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- General Ledger Oversight: Manage daily entries and postings to the general ledger. Ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with accounting principles.
- Internal Controls: Develop and maintain internal controls and procedures to enhance the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations.
- Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors during audits and reviews to ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
- Accounts Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
- Treasury Management: Oversee cash transfers between accounts, external disbursements, cash reconciliations, and ensure optimal utilization of financial resources.
- Recurring Corporate Entries: Manage and prepare recurring journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Fixed Asset Management: Track and manage the company's fixed assets, including acquisitions, depreciation, and disposals in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings, including preparation of quarterly and annual tax returns.
- Budget and Forecast Preparation: Assist in the review of comprehensive budgets and financial forecasts. Work with divisional managers to investigate and report discrepancies between actuals and forecasts to guide financial decisions.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate financial and accounting processes for efficiency improvements and cost savings.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to support financial operations, providing guidance and expertise on accounting matters.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Strong expertise in GAAP and other accounting principles.
- Proficient in accounting software and systems, with advanced Excel skills.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- 3+ years of accounting experience preferred in an organization with high volume transactions.
