About the Role
The Senior Accountant will manage and provide oversight of Coesia North American financial activities including accounting and tax records, actual monthly closings, statutory and tax filings, and account reconciliation. Along with our Flexlink group, this role will assist in the oversight of other Coesia business services overseas, but with customer accounts located in North America. Other business groups include: Hapa, Atlantic Zeiser, and GDM. This position will report to the North American Finance Manager also located in Allentown and will collaborate closely with a small team specializing in FP&A and sales commissioning processes. This role will begin onsite every day at our Flexlink location in Allentown and will potentially move to a hybrid model following onboarding and training.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Manage the monthly closing process granting proper execution and control of closing requirements in perfect coordination with the accounting team, Coesia Shared Service North America and relevant company departments.
- Fixed assets, budgeting, forecasting, and processing of purchases, depreciation, disposal, and other transactions.
- Reconciles balance sheet accounts and inter-company accounts.
- Compiles data and assists with yearly tax filings.
- Assist and support external auditors with year-end audit and preparation of schedules, documentation and other necessary data as requested.
- Assists and support internal auditors.
- Prepares and analyzes reports for the budget, other divisions and parent company on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis as required.
- Prepare and support Finance Manager to prepare managerial reporting supplemental data and requirements.
- Enters monthly reporting data into managerial reporting tools; run check files.
What You Need to Be Successful
- BS in Accounting or Business strongly preferred.
- Minimum 2 years accounting experience, manufacturing environment preferred.
- Advanced accounting skills.
- Tax and fiscal acumen.
- Advanced computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Proficient in data analysis.
- SAP proficient.
- Ability to prioritize and organize, respond, and react quickly to demands.
- Excellent communication; spoken and written.
