Senior Account Executive or Account Supervisor
New York City (Hybrid: 3 days/week on-site at Industrious Nomad)
Salary Range: $60,000-$100,000
At HermesPR, we're redefining what strategic communications means for healthcare innovators. We're hiring a Senior Account Executive (SAE) or Account Supervisor (AS) to help us do it.
We're a values-driven team: grounded, warm, intellectually engaged, and driven to build something exceptional for both our clients and ourselves. If you're looking for a collaborative, low-drama environment that prizes curiosity, honesty, storytelling mastery, and a bias toward action, you'll thrive here.
About the Roles
These positions are suited to PR professionals who are hands-on, organized, and eager to shape client narratives, not just execute them. We work across the most dynamic corners of venture-backed healthcare, from health tech platforms to care delivery innovation. As such, we need strong communicators who understand how to drive results in fast-moving, complex sectors.
Senior Account Executive (SAE)
As an SAE, you are the proactive program engine by tracking deadlines, owning key initiatives, and building media narratives. You'll translate client objectives into day-to-day action, while sharpening your ability to think both tactically and strategically.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as day-to-day lead for tactical execution across several accounts
- Develop, manage, and deliver proactive media pitches; refine story angles and outreach
- Draft strong first versions of press releases, op-eds, speaking submissions, and more
- Mentor junior staff (AAEs, AEs) in coordination, writing, and account operations
- Track timelines and deliverables, ensuring clear client-facing documentation
- Lead the development of client meeting agendas, action items, and follow-ups
- Monitor the media landscape for opportunities and newsjacking angles
- Provide consistent, thoughtful updates to internal managers
You Should Have
- 3-5 years of agency PR experience
- Understanding of media cycles, pitch structures, and healthcare/health-tech landscape
- A portfolio of media outcomes and writing samples
- Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn Hermes-style writing rooted in both head and heart
Account Supervisor (AS)
As an AS, you're stepping into strategic leadership by balancing mentorship, media execution, and program design. You'll manage junior staff, own client relationships, and ensure that all work aligns with program objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Begin independently leading 1-2 accounts with light oversight
- Guide PR planning: creative campaigns, earned media, thought leadership, and awards
- Actively manage call agendas, client meetings, and internal team operations
- Provide strategic counsel and feedback to clients and team members
- Own major workstreams (e.g., media strategy, speaking platforms, content development)
- Deliver strong, strategically framed media pitches and drive coverage
- Track industry trends and client-relevant news across healthcare verticals
- Assist with new business initiatives including research, ideas, and pitch development
- Ensure high-quality deliverables and accountability across the team
You Should Have
- 5-7 years of PR experience in an agency setting
- Experience mentoring junior team members and managing client workstreams
- High emotional intelligence and a collaborative, humble mindset
- Strong understanding of client management and media dynamics
- Sharp writing and editing skills with a commitment to excellence
