Senior Account Executive - Corrugated Packaging

Location: Central Coast, California (South: Oxnard North: Santa Maria)

Travel: 80% travel within territory, plus occasional travel to plant and trade shows

Compensation: $120,000 to $160,000 Base + Monthly Commissions + Company Vehicle

What You'll Do

Business Builder

  • Launch and grow a new geographical territory from the ground up
  • Create and execute a sales strategy to build a robust lead pipeline
  • Hunt and close new business with customers who value quality, expertise, service, and results
  • Develop and articulate compelling value propositions that match customer priorities
  • Contribute to company development in operations and a modern sales function

Trusted Partner

  • Engage deeply with customers to understand needs, challenges, and goals
  • Offer consultative and creative out-of-the-box solutions that align with their business challenges through downstream supply chain
  • Build long-term relationships at multiple levels of the customer organization
  • Identify opportunities for value-add packaging solutions across the supply chain
  • Deliver exceptional service to customers, internal partners, and peer teammates to consistently exceed expectations

Revenue Generator

  • Drive revenue through new business development, from pitch to fulfillment
  • Apply financial and business principles to support profitable decision-making
  • Identify margin-enhancing opportunities for additional growth

Territory Manager

  • Maintain customer relationships and communications using Salesforce
  • Ensure seamless order processing, timely delivery, and customer satisfaction
  • Provide periodic reporting and administrative follow-through

What You'll Bring

  • Proven success in B2B sales or business development with a strong track record of attracting and closing new business
  • Experience in corrugated packaging, containers, manufacturing, industrial or related industries with a preference for serving agricultural clients
  • Entrepreneurial drive to grow a new territory with a hunter mentality
  • Business leadership mentality to help the company uplevel its operations and achieve its growth objectives
  • A customer-first attitude rooted in a genuine desire to overdeliver value-added solutions
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust across all levels of a customer's organization
  • Skillful navigation of gatekeepers to connect directly with decision-makers
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to access decision-makers and navigate complex customer organizations
  • Tenacity, resilience, and the ability to overcome challenges and objections
  • Self-motivated, independent driver who can lead their business with minimal oversight
  • Business acumen and mindset leader with knowledge of supply chain operations and best practices in sales operations
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and MS Office
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Willingness to travel in territory 80% of the time
  • Ability to reside within or near territory; relocation package will be considered
