Senior Account Executive - Life Sciences Marketing

A leading marketing and communications agency specializing in the health sector is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Account Executive (SAE) to join their Life Sciences Marketing team. This full-service agency partners with organizations across the spectrum of healthcare, from early-stage biotech companies to established pharmaceutical brands and public health institutions. Position Summary
The ideal candidate will bring a mix of healthcare and life sciences marketing knowledge along with experience working in a creative agency setting. This individual should possess strong strategic thinking, a high level of initiative, and a commitment to excellent client service. The SAE will contribute to the success of high-impact marketing campaigns, collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, and support both existing accounts and new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a key liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring smooth communication and project flow.
- Lead client status calls and provide clear, concise updates on deliverables and timelines.
- Assist in the execution of integrated marketing campaigns-including HCP and patient engagement, digital and print materials, and product launches.
- Develop detailed creative briefs and conduct internal kickoff meetings to guide project execution.
- Monitor budgets, billing, and financial health of client accounts to maintain program profitability.
- Use Veeva systems to manage Medical-Legal-Regulatory (MLR) review and submissions.
- Partner with project managers to track timelines, budgets, and develop scopes of work (SOWs).
- Draft and distribute regular project updates and summaries for client stakeholders.
- Collaborate with strategic and digital teams to develop and implement multi-channel marketing efforts.
- Support business development through research, proposal writing, and participation in pitch presentations.
- Apply knowledge of digital marketing tactics such as websites, banner advertising, CRM, and other digital channels.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- 3-5 years of experience in a marketing or communications agency required.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare, pharma, and biotech marketing practices, including regulatory (FDA) guidelines.
- Familiarity with strategies for both healthcare professional (HCP) and direct-to-consumer (DTC) audiences.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with diverse client and team stakeholders.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a flexible, proactive attitude.
- Capable of juggling multiple priorities and working well independently and as part of a team.
