Job Summary Rees & Co is looking for a Senior Account Director to join its London team. They will be responsible for delivering creative and wide-reaching media campaigns for a dedicated portfolio of international clients. Job Description

The ideal candidate for the Senior Account Director role will have an excellent network of high-level international media contacts, with a focus on English-language and European media, as well as a wider network of industry contacts. They will be a highly organised and outgoing self-starter with a passion for the visual arts and connecting people, excellent time management, and a rigorous approach to campaign research and delivery. They will have extensive experience delivering major press campaigns, including exhibition, profile-raising and news campaigns, as well as experience managing large-scale press trips both domestically and internationally.

The Senior Account Director will work closely with the agency Founder, Director, and other (Senior) Account Directors to share information and learnings across the company. The role will be supported by a dedicated Account Executive, who will be task-managed but not line-managed by the Senior Account Director.

Job Requirements
  • A minimum of five years' experience working in visual arts PR.
  • Extensive experience delivering major press campaigns, including securing features, previews, interviews, reviews, news, and round-ups, as well as managing exhibition, profile-raising, and news campaigns.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale domestic and international press trips, including budgeting.
  • An excellent network of high-level international arts and culture media contacts and non-media cultural advocates.
  • Strong knowledge of the art world and international cultural landscape, with an understanding of wider trends and news.
  • Wide knowledge of historical and contemporary visual art.
  • Experience working successfully with artists and curators, building trusted relationships.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders in high-profile projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong time management abilities.
Job Responsibilities
  • Manage six to eight client accounts simultaneously, delivering excellent service per contracts and work outlines.
  • Develop and execute strategic and creative international media campaigns.
  • Secure major editorial coverage across print, broadcast, and digital media outlets.
  • Create press materials, including press releases, image sheets, and mailouts.
  • Oversee press views and press trips (domestic and international), including budget management.
  • Provide strategic advice to clients.
  • Handle crisis management, including preparing responses to inquiries.
  • Support or attend domestic and international client events.
  • Conduct outreach to third parties, potential partners, and VIPs for strategic positioning.
  • Manage a team of up to two people.
  • Collaborate with the senior team to share contacts and ideas for the wider agency.
