About the Role:
Pupils: You could be supporting four pupils with challenging behaviour, including two non-verbal students. Each child may require tailored assistance, both academically and with behaviour management strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist pupils in and outside of the classroom, ensuring their emotional and educational needs are met.
- Support and implement individualised behaviour management plans to help pupils engage and thrive.
- Provide academic support, aiding in the development of essential skills in a nurturing environment.
- Work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and structured learning environment.
Objective: The school is looking to increase the pupils' timetable from part-time to full-time, meaning you'll be pivotal in helping these children develop both socially and academically.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience working with children with challenging behaviour and special educational needs, particularly those who are non-verbal.
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies, and the ability to implement these effectively.
- A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach, with a strong commitment to promoting the pupils' well-being and development.
- The ability to work as part of a collaborative team and communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
