Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting for a dedicated and knowledgeable SEND Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) Co-ordinator to join Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council on a temporary contract.
This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced SEND professionals to contribute to positive outcomes for children and families across the BCP area.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of children and young people undergoing statutory EHC needs assessments
Coordinate the EHCP process in line with the Children & Families Act 2014 and SEN Code of Practice
Liaise closely with schools, health, social care and families to ensure holistic and high-quality plans
Represent the Local Authority at annual reviews, multi-agency meetings and transition planning forums
Provide informed advice and guidance to parents, carers and professionals on SEND legislation and processes
Support with funding and commissioning decisions to ensure cost-effective provision
Requirements:
Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in SEND, Education or Social Care
In-depth knowledge of SEND Code of Practice, EHC legislation and related statutory frameworks
Experience of managing statutory EHCP processes and casework
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work with families and multi-agency teams
