The SELF Supervisor is responsible for analyzing and optimizing the daily operations of the SELF team to enhance efficiency, compliance and service quality. This involves evaluating work methods, identifying opportunities for process improvement, and implementing revised procedures in collaboration with the Assistant Manager and SELF Manager. The SELF Supervisor conducts performance assessments, provides ongoing coaching to staff, analyzes escalated inquiries to identify issues while establishing compliance with organizational standards.

Additional responsibilities include workforce planning, staff training, and procedural documentation to support continuous operational improvement. The SELF Supervisor needs to be an expert in SELF and SELF Refi duties to effectively train staff and assume responsibility of those tasks if needed. The position also provides analytical support by reviewing organizational policies, data reports, and recommending operational adjustments. The SELF Supervisor ensures continuity of operations by managing workflow redistribution and operational support during staff absences.

Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role
  • At least 3 years of experience in a customer service role
  • Experience working with loan products, credit, or in a financial field
  • Ability to handle escalated customer issues with professionalism
  • Ability to type 30 WPM (must specify on resume estimated typing speed, assessment to including typing test)
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 or more years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably within a customer service or call center setting
  • 4 or more years of experience in a customer service role, preferably in financial services or call center environment
  • 1 or more years experience at a postsecondary institution, preferably in financial aid
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field from an accredited college or university
  • Experience with training new staff and documentation of new processes
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to position self and move sufficiently to perform repetitive tasks
  • Maintain a stationary position for long periods of time
  • Ability to carry up to 20 pounds of weight on an infrequent basis
